My new job promotion !

To kitchen supervisor. It just amazingly happened a few weeks ago. Our kitchen manager unexpectedly resigned her position. Another co-worker and I were asked to share the job responsibilities of the kitchen. We both graciously accepted the dollar raise, and added duties. I personally, just hope and pray that I can do a supreme job, so that my director can feel comfortable In the fact that she made an outstanding decision. In choosing us for the job, with this being such a tremendous change so suddenly. There are a lot of things added to my duties. But courageously I will stand, and go on to complete my duties with great delight.

Some times life give us too many oportunities, and we have to know when to take them or not, of course is good to see when somebody really enjoys the things of our every day living.

As Jennifer's director, I'm pleased and proud that she and Melissa have stepped up to this new challenge of Food Service Supervisor. I'm confident that they can be successful at this. They both are "people" oriented and concerned about our residents, staff, and guests. Both are skilled at cooking and now both are learning the administrative side of their new job. I'm confident they'll succeed...so confident that I'm flying to Chicago with my husband tomorrow for the Thanksgiving holiday to celebrate with our daughter and her family. They'll be busy presenting a Thanksgiving buffet to residents and guests and welcoming all as "if they were home." I'll return to hear everyone singing their praises. I hope that our relationship continues for some time to come. Both are assets to a very important part of our home - the Dining Room, what else? The down side, if there is one, is that I'm having trouble losing weight! Happy holidays to you, Jennifer; to your family; and to your classmates. I'm proud that you've returned to school and look forward to attending your graduation one day soon. I'd like a front-row seat, please! - Janet
