Happy Easter!

This Sunday is Easter. In honor of the holiday, I would like to share with you one of my favorite things about the season: The Washington Post Peep Diorama Contest!

You know what Peeps are, right? Those disgusting but yummy marshmallow treats shaped like chicks and bunnies that the Easter bunny sometimes brings?

Anyway, people all around the country vie for the title of TOP PEEP by building a diorama out of, you guessed it, Peeps!! This year, there were more than 1,100 entries.

Then the Washington Post chooses a winner and several runners up.

Even more peeps!

Which one is your favorite?

Thank YOU! I always find the Peep dioramas so creative and fun; I'm glad you all like them, too.

My favorite is Goodnight Moon, which is one of my favorite books. Has anyone seen or read it before? I especially love the little bowl made from the bottle cap!

I really liked a lot of them, but my favorite was the one from the movie UP. I thought it had lots of details. It's amazing what people can do with this little peeps. There's a lot of imagination in all of them. I think everybody did a great job.

I really like the one that the couples made because the way they took the time and effort to do such a big thing like this. This shows people that even the smallest things can be turned into something big.

I like the house from the movie UP. My son and I watch that movie. I think all the designs are wonderful, it would take a lot effort and time to do one. Maybe I would try to do one someday.
